When you play Minecraft with friends, try these mods!
For a long time, Minecraft has been a game where single players can play and hundreds of people can join a server to build something amazing. There’s no need for a large group of friends to play, but for many of us, discovering Minecraft with friends was our first gaming memory.
Even with regular updates, Minecraft will never be perfect for everyone. Luckily, there are thousands of skilled developers who make free mods that let us improve the game in any way we choose. These are some of the best ones for servers with a lot of players.
Waystones
Getting lost is a big part of Minecraft. Throughout the game, you’ll be looking for useful biomes, unique structures, and the best spots to build huge farms. A very useful skill is being able to get back to those places and also find each other when your friends get lost.
With a waystone, you can put down a beacon with your coordinates and a label to help you remember what it is. After that, you can teleport to it or just use it as a guide. You can use this to get back home or to tell your friends about something interesting you’ve found. It can also be used to find your inventory after you die.
JourneyMap
JourneyMap is also a great mod for keeping track of friends and getting back together when things go wrong. This mod not only shows you and other players, but the different colored tokens also show which biomes you’re near and which mobs are aggressive or passive. This is a great way to keep a Zombie from sneaking up on you or your friends if they want to do harm!
The map can be turned on and off so it stays in the corner of the screen at all times. Never lose friends again.
Ender Storage
Even though they say that time apart makes the heart grow fonder, doesn’t it stink when someone in your group leaves with something really important that you needed for crafting? Let’s talk about Ender Storage. There is no lock on this mod, so anyone can open it and take things. Each Chest is a different color, so the red Chest can connect to any other red Chest. There are also Ender Pouches, which are useful for carrying things around.
You can farm items for your friend’s epic project on the other side of the world and then drop them in these useful, modified Ender Chests for them to use. Or, if you need to share something rare, like a Beacon, you can easily get it from the shared chest from anywhere. Just remember to put it back.
Vault Hunters
There is no quality-of-life mod in this pack. Instead, there is an adventure for you and your friends to go on together. Vaults will appear that are generated procedurally, and you can open them with Crystals, which can be mined, crafted, imbued, and changed. These Crystals are the center of everything.
The mod pack basically turns Minecraft into an RPG, with different ways to play and level up, different sets of armor, and unique skills like Dash, Mega Jump, and Ghost Walk. As you face every surprise the Vault throws at you, you’ll do research to gain experience and unlock new powers. There will be both great rewards and danger. You can play alone or with friends to beat the game.
Better MC
It’s said that Better MC is Minecraft 2 or “what Minecraft should have been.” It doesn’t matter if you agree with them or not; this is a big adventure. This is a full modpack, which means it has many separate mods that work well with each other. Like Just Enough Items, the quality-of-life add-ons are useful, but that’s not why you install something like this.
There are thousands of new monsters, items, and blocks, and you can also build portals to other worlds like the Twilight Forest. You can also find dangerous dungeons full of traps and bosses that take an army to beat. The End has also been changed into something that looks like a microscopic world full of bacteria that have grown to be huge and fungi that are taller than you. You should check out this mod with your friends.
Domestication Innovation
This mod lets you interact with animals in Minecraft in more ways. The word “tamed” is greatly expanded upon by Domestication Innovation, which lets you make friends with, train, and even charm wild animals. It’s like giving a Wolf a Bone in the original Minecraft to get a Dog that will fight for you.
You won’t just be able to train dogs, though. You can also train frogs, axolotls, horses, rabbits, foxes, and many other animals to do what you want, and they can do a lot more than just weak attacks. Psychic Wall stops ghosts and other spirits from getting close, Bubbling traps mobs in floating bubbles, Charisma lowers trade prices, and curses like Blight and Immaturity make people less mature. Gather a large group of your favorite animals and search for the rarest enchantments. Then, fight your friends or take on a Bastion with your powerful Pandas.
RLCraft
It’s said that this modpack is one of the hardest and most complicated ones ever made. It’s made up of 185 different mods that together make what’s basically a whole new Drift Boss game with the toughest enemies you’ll ever face. If you often quit in a rage, this might not be for you.
When you first start this mod, you need a group to watch your back because dragons roam the skies and kill players instantly if they are not careful. Also, the oceans are full of creatures that will drag you down. But the very powerful Baubles, Enchantments, and structures full of loot that you can find as soon as you spawn make up for it. If you all stick together, you might make it to the optional bosses like Asmodeus and Rahovart.
Pixelmon
We’ve all dreamed of living in a world where Pokemon are our best friends and we can ride them around and earn badges. If Pokemon Go didn’t satisfy your need, this Minecraft mod might. You can get it with your friends and find all the Pokemon you know and love. As well as the strange new ones that no one can keep track of.
You can buy Poke Balls or make your own with the new crafting materials. The battle system from Generation 8 is also there. But most of the other things you love about Minecraft will still be there. Vanilla Minecraft mobs will no longer spawn. You can really enjoy this mod, fight real people, and earn TMs on multiplayer servers, so go out there and catch them all!
The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games is another tremendously well-known series. As a fan of either Katniss or Finnick, now is your chance to show your friends that you would have won. If it were real and that you would not have died from the cold on the first night.
To play, you don’t need a big group of friends, though. Because the mod gives you themed weapons and clothes to use against teams of very smart tributes. Watch out for Tracker Jacker Hives and do what your mentor tells you, or the next cannon could be aimed at you.
Survival Island
Do you ever wish you had your own island paradise? Being close to your best friend so you can build ships and bridges between you two? Then this mod is just what you need. With this mod, you can make the world you want to live in exactly the way you want it.
You can even make a map that is just one big (or small, if you want a challenge) island. Where you’ll all have to share the blocks and keep the animals from being killed. This really goes against what Minecraft is usually like, which is a world full of resources that keep appearing. Watch to see which island lasts the longest and who is the first to beg for a Sapling.
